eSport: The Road to ComicCon 2022
With the road to ComicCon 2022 heating up in the High School eSport League. You can follow how Paul Roos does every step of the way. We have started term 3 with double elimination brackets and five teams from Paul Roos have qualified.
Rocket League
We have three teams that qualified for the top 32 double elimination bracket play. Teams have been assigned into eight groups of 4. Only the top two teams from every group will progress.
In group F we see the PRG A and PRG B team. Round 1 of the double elimination bracket PRG A won 3-0 against PRG B. This week in the Group F winners final PRG A will face off against Grantleigh College and in the loser’s bracket PRG B faces Herzlia High School B. Both teams can qualify for top 16 if they win 2 out of the 3 matches they play. In group B the PRG C team lost 0-3 against Grey High School A and will face High School Eldoraigne this week in the loser’s bracket.
CS: GO
We have two teams that qualified for the top 8 double elimination bracket play. Teams have been assigned into two groups of 4. Only the top two teams from every group will progress.
In group A the PRG A team won 16-10 against Hillcrest High School – KINGS and will face Hoërskool Linden A in the winners final. In group B the very young PRG B side faced off against Raisethorpe Secondary School and lost 0-16. They will face off this week against Maragon Mooikloof – Roaches.

League of Legends (LOL)
The final phase of the LOL tournament starts this week. We have been drawn in Group C and over the next five weeks we will play five rounds with PRG A facing off against Voortrekker High School b team first. Goodluck to the players participating.
Valorant
This year was the first year a Valorant team was introduced at PRG. With some mixed results the final group stages have almost been completed with Paul Roos A winning 13-8 against Wonderboom High School and lost 9-13 against Swartland last week. The last group game we will face off against Clifton High School.
Clash Royale
The ACGL term 3 Clash Royale tournament started this week and they will compete over five rounds accumulating ranked points for the final round elimination bracket seating.
We are also looking forward to the Student Showdown that will be hosted at Paul Roos Tuesday the 9th of August. Schools and universities are welcome to enter teams for CS:GO, FIFA 2022, Rocket League and Clash Royale.
