Sport: Gedragskode / Code of Conduct
SPORT: GEDRAGSKODE
Van sportmanne sal verwag word dat hulle:
- Verbind sal bly tot die sportsoort vir die hele seisoen.
- Te alle tye sodanig sal optree dat dit tot eer en trots van die skool en gemeenskap sal strek sowel as tot die gesonde uitbouing van hul volle mensepotensiaal.
- Kleredrag by byeenkomste, kompetisies en tydens wedstryde korrek sal wees.
- Die beslissings van skeidsregters en beamptes sal aanvaar.
- Stiptelik sal wees in die bywoon van sportaktiwiteite en vergaderings.
- Geen vuiltaal en onsportiewe opmerkings sal maak nie.
- In nederigheid hulle prestasies sal koester en dit as uitdaging sal aanvaar vir steeds hoër standaarde.
- Met nederigheid wen en met grasie verloor.
Indien ‘n speler van enige van bogenoemde bepalings sou afwyk, moet die afrigter die onaanvaarbare gedrag aan die Adjunk-hoof: Sport rapporteer. In ernstige gevalle sal laasgenoemde persoon dit na die tugkomitee verwys vir verdere optrede. Enige geval waar die speler se deelname aan ‘n wedstryd opgeskort word, gaan onmiddellik gepaard met ‘n tugverhoor. Indien die speler skuldig bevind word, sal hy vir minstens die volgende twee byeenkomste, kompetisies of wedstryde geskors word.
SPORT: CODE OF CONDUCT
All sportsmen will be expected to:
- Remain associated to the relevant sport for the duration of the season.
- At all times conduct themselves in such a manner that they bring honour to their school and community and contribute to the healthy development of their full human potential.
- Ensure their attire at sport meetings, competitions and matches is correct.
- Accept the decisions of umpires, referees and officials.
- Be punctual in attending sport activities and meetings.
- Not use foul or unsportsmanlike language.
- Embrace their successes with modesty and as a challenge to achieve even higher standards.
- Accept success with modesty and defeat with grace.
If a player does not comply with the above provisions, the coach must report the unacceptable behaviour to the Deputy-head: Sport. In serious cases, the latter person will refer the matter to the sport disciplinary committee for further action. This committee consists of the Rector, the Deputy-head: Sport, the sport organiser and the coach concerned. Any situation where a player’s participation in a match is suspended, will automatically result in a disciplinary hearing. If the player is found guilty, he will be suspended for at least the next two competitions, meetings or matches.
