Paul Roos athletes excel at Boland Championships!
PRG Athletes collected a total of 22 medals at the recent Boland Athletics Junior Championships held at the Dal Josaphat Stadium, Paarl from Thursday 23 to Saturday 25 February 2022.
With 37 athletes representing either Boland Central or their respective clubs, it was a good couple of days for the maroon machine:
Gold Medals:
Zak Hickman – U18 Hammer Throw
Reuben van der Merwe – U18 Javelin
Harrison Gibson – U18 High Jump
Mark Lester – U16 1500m
Silver Medals:
Canaan Eksteen – U15 100m; Bronze for U15 200m
Luc Botha – U15 400m; Bronze for U15 300m Hurdles
Jean Volschenk – U15 100m Hurdles & U15 300m Hurdles
Barthelemy Bena-Ntumba – U18 100m
Luke van der Merwe – U18 High Jump
Joshua Acker – U20 Shotput &Discus
Nathan Barnard – U15 Shotput
Christopher Steyn – U18 1500m
Bronze Medals:
Jarod Brown – U16 800m
Jeandre Cilliers– U15 Pole Vault
Thomas Coetsee – U16 Hammer Throw
