PRG T10 Cricket Tournament | Toernooi, 8-9 September 2023
It is time for the games to begin!
We are very excited to announce the T10 Cricket Tournament programme and rules. The tournament kicks off on Friday, 8 September, 14:00, on both the PRG Oval and Markötter Sports Complex (fields: Doornbosch and Volkskombuis). Our team sponsors will be setting up their supporter’s stations on Friday morning and we look forward to creating some additional hype for the cricket season here at Paul Roos Gymnasium. On Thursday, 7 September, our team members received their kit, which looks bright and beautiful. We look forward to great competition over the next two days. Paul Roosers and other cricket lovers are welcome to join us next to the field – showing some Cricket PRGees. On Saturday, we’re hosting a “Bring & Braai” – to which everyone is welcome. Bring a bag of wood/charcoal, your meats and a camping chair or two. Below you will find the T10 programme and the rules of the game! You will also find photos of our teams with their brand-new kit. T10 Cricket Auction was a huge success
On Tuesday, 29 August, Paul Roos Cricket hosted its annual T10 Cricket Auction. During this annual event PRG Cricket announced its T10 tournament teams, sponsors, team members and marquee players. Cricket parents attended as team supporters and could bid on their marquee player of choice. Various other auction items such as sought-after cricket collectors’ items and more were up for grabs. International cricketer and coach, Gary Kirsten, attended as guest speaker. His presence was a huge treat. Paul Roos Gymnasium is extremely grateful for all in attendance. The support was in huge supply and we are excited about the income raised for cricket development at PRG. Thanks to Vaughn Marlow for entertaining our guests as MC and auctioneer. Another thank you to Deon Botes (head of cricket at PRG) and all team managers, who played an enormous role in securing team sponsors, auction items and complimentary drinks for our guests.
