Chess: XXXIII International Chess Festival

Alexander van der Merwe, from Paul Roos Gymnasium, took part in the XXXIII International Chess Festival Cracovia in Krakow Poland.

He was ranked 72nd,but finished in 4th place. He scored 7 points and ended half a point behind the winner. He had no losses.
