What a night at Paul Roos Gymnasium. Incredible keynotes, beautiful music, great wine, and even better company. The 2026 APBSA Conference was off to the most wonderful start.
APBSA Conference: Day 2
A full programme that covered everything from leadership and discipline, to diversity, body language, and the future of education as we know it. The highlight? Watching a room full of experienced school leaders listen, really listen, to a panel of our own students. That said it all. The day concluded with a performance by Hermanus Schmidt and keynote from Prof Ignatius Gouws. We are so proud to call Stellenbosch home.

Three days. Ten keynotes. One home we are incredibly proud of.
The final morning brought everything together. Our own teachers sharing the Paul Roos Gymnasium story, a beautiful conversation about brother and sister schools, Dr Ronel Retief on preparing learners for a world beyond school, and Dr Tim Gordon closing the 2026 APBSA Conference the way it deserved to be.
