Pride of the Province: PRG Shines at Western Cape Championships
It is always a privilege to compete on our home track at Coetzenburg, and this past weekend’s Western Cape High School Athletics Championships were no exception. Competing at the Western Cape Championship provided our athletes with an incredible opportunity to test themselves against the very best in the province.
Several of our athletes achieved personal milestones during the meet. We are particularly proud of our junior sprinters and hurdlers, whose hard work behind the scenes is beginning to show:
- Vuyo Ngobeni (o/15) claimed Gold in both the 100m and 200m. His 100m time of 10.75s is a new Western Cape Record and a testament to his incredible dedication and speed.
- Jordan Sydon (o/14) proved he is a force to be reckoned with, taking Gold in the 100m (11.20s) and Silver in the 100m Hurdles. His 100m hurdles time of 13.50s also shattered the previous Western Cape Record.
